Shopping in Budapest
If you also plan to shop in the city, Budapest offers a different experience from an outlet visit. Váci Street and Fashion Street are convenient shopping areas in the centre, while Andrássy Avenue is known for its boutiques and elegant surroundings.
For several stores in one place, consider Westend near Nyugati railway station or Arena Mall. These are regular shopping centres, so their prices and offers should not be confused with outlet shopping.
If you only have one day, decide whether Premier Outlet or the city centre is your priority before planning your route. This will make it easier to allow enough time for transport and shopping.
Tax-free shopping
If you live outside the European Union, you may be eligible for a VAT refund on qualifying goods bought in Hungary and taken out of the EU. Ask the store about tax-free paperwork before paying, keep your receipts and check the customs validation procedure before leaving the EU. Rules for bringing goods into your home country are separate.
